At Ed Harry, you are not just an employee but an integral part of a young growing business. Our business strives to differentiate itself from the competition with a mixture of unique products and services but most importantly great old fashioned customer service from energetic and professional team members.
We attempt to take away any barriers to good service and encourage weekly communication to flow from the shop floor directly to the top.
To ensure this is the case, Ed Harry wants the customer experience to be a personal one rather than a standard approach and to do this we encourage each and every team member to be themselves in the work place.
We are focused on results and improvement at all levels of the business but want to get there with YOU. At Ed Harry you will
Adrian began working for Ed Harry at 19 years old, hired as the late night and weekend sales support staff member in a top SA store. That’s when he was bitten by the retail bug with its fast pace and energy. Adrian's enjoyment of customer interaction was reflected in his sales. As a result, he was quickly offered the permanent second in charge position in which he worked under various managers and continued to learn ‘retail’.
Just before his 21st birthday, Adrian was offered the position of Store Manager. He accepted the opportunity, and a steep learning curve began. With a strong ‘customer first’ approach, his team managed to grow sales significantly. Aged 23, on the momentum of good successes, Adrian was offered the management of additional stores under the title of Area Manager. Subsequently more stores were added to his grouping until it totalled 30 stores across 3 states. His role also included the involvement in new store roll outs and other business initiatives.
Always having a flair for product, by 26, Adrian had accepted a position as Assistant Buyer in Head Office, taking on a role with new tasks and responsibilities different to that of a Regional Manager. The challenge was rewarding as he successfully put all his store level learning to practical use in buying, with great results!
Now, many years later, Adrian holds the key position as General Manager of buying with a team of buyers and support staff reporting to him.
Adrian’s story is just one of many great career stories at Ed Harry.
